Twitter BirdWow! What a week! Check this out! In case you haven’t heard or have been living in the confines of a padded room or island where there is no internet (this hurts my head to even say those words), now brands, marketers, and those that love Twitter no longer have to be as concerned with the 140-character limit. How did this happen? Well, Twitter just gave us all an early Christmas gift. As of this week, the character limit will only include text. What does that mean for you and me? Well, now (thank you Twitter Lord) you can post polls, photos, GIF’s, and videos without these being included in the countdown, whereas all of us had to come up with creative ways to say more in a small amount of character space.

It’s like I now have more room in my fridge, more capacity in my walk-in closet, more empty space in my head where I can fill it with more words of wonder. Oh the joy!

As visual content marketing is becoming more and more of a need for brands instead of a luxury, the timing of this couldn’t have come at a better time, well, unless it would have come earlier but we aren’t complaining!

We have heard there are more good things to come with Twitter continuing to bring on more creative ways to help us make those 140 characters go as far as possible as we social media management companies further pave the road for our brands to build communities and relationships with each of their client’s, customers and fans.

We thank you Twitter, from the bottom of our grateful hearts.
